On 17 July 2024, the WVOI and employee organisations FNV, CNV and AOb converted the previously achieved negotiation outcome on a new Collective Labour Agreement Research Institutes (CAO-OI) into a final collective labour agreement. Agreements were made on salary increase, a one-off payment, compensation for accessibility and availability services and a reimbursement for trade union membership fees. Then, in early September 2024, an agreement was reached on the adaptation of the NWO Implementing Regulations (also applicable to NWO-I). These include the modernisation of the employee interview scheme (the R&O interviews) and making it uniform at NWO-D and NWO-I. And the amounts you can use in AVOM (tailor-made terms of employment) for a bicycle commuting to work will be increased.

NWO-I joins PhD Netwerk Netherlands (PNN)

Since this year, NWO-I has its own PhD network. This network brings the almost five hundred PhD students from the NWO Institutes in contact with one another to network and share experiences. The setting up of this NWO-I PhD network also makes it possible to join the national network for PhD students, the PhD Netwerk Netherlands (PNN). Therefore, on 13 September, NWO-I became an official member of this interest group for and by PhD students.

Mental health is crucial for the wellbeing of individuals, both in the workplace and in educational settings.
